FEDEVIVIENDA was set up in 1980 to bring together the many housing organisations that were developing housing on a community self-build basis. The Federation lobbied Government and regional authorities for increased support of such initiatives, provided development support to members and carried out training. The Federation is still active today.

FEDEVIVIENDA
José was employed in the initial stages of the Federation to get it off the ground, when members were being sought and funding was being secured. By 1982, when he left, the Federation was well established and funded, with member organisations all over the Country and a number of funding agreements established with Dutch funding organisations.
